City of Luverne (Rock County) Bridge 67553
Bridge 67553, located on CSAH 4, crosses over the Rock River and consists of a 3-span continuous steel beam structure with a total length of 232 ft. The roadway is 40 ft wide with a 6 ft wide sidewalk on each side. Ornamental railing, light standards, and architectural surface treatment on the abutments, piers, and wingwalls were included in the design.
Due to the long detour required, the structure was designed and built to maintain traffic on the bridge during construction. The project also included design of a temporary pedestrian bridge to be used during construction for access to a nearby park. Bridge 67553 replaced a structurally deficient bridge.
